The Bachelor in Business Administration (Honours) programme is designed to equip learners with essential management acumen necessary for assuming managerial positions in business organisations. The curriculum is designed to produce graduates who are sensitive to the changing business environmental influences and responsive to new ideas in resolving emerging issues confronting business organisations.
In the inherently competitive business world, the successful companies of today and tomorrow are those that internalise values such as productivity, quality, service, competence, innovation and the like. These core values are incorporated into the programme.
Learners are required to accumulate 120 credit hours in order to graduate.

Discount for the Physically Challenged Learners (OKU) and Senior Citizens
The University offers 50% discount for:
1. Senior citizens aged 60 and above on registration date; and
2. Physically challenged learners – a valid Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) is required.
These discounts are for subject fees only and are not applicable for research and other fees. The discounts are also not valid for second time registration and repeating of subjects.
Learners who receive this discount are not entitled to other discounts and promotions.

vi. Other recognised equivalent qualification.
English competency requirement for international students: Minimum IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
The pass requirement in Mathematics and English at SPM level for candidates (i), and (ii) can be exempted if the qualifications comprise of Mathematics and English and the achievement is equivalent to/above the pass requirement of the subjects at SPM level. (Equality of the subjects is the responsibility of HEP and the HEP needs to have strong internal policies/procedures in assessing the equality). OR
• Malaysian; and
• Candidate must be 21 years old and above in the year of application being made; and
• Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and
• Pass APEL Assessment for Bachelor Degree (conducted by OUM).
- The provisional offer of admission will be revoked if the candidate:
- Fails to submit evidence of qualification within the stipulated date; or
- Does not meet the entry requirements of the University.

Candidates can apply via normal entry or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) entry.

- How soon can I complete BBA?
BBA is a 120 credit-hour programme, which means that it can typically be completed in 14 semesters. That’s approximately 4½ years if the programme is completed without any credit transfer, and if learners take the standard 3 courses per semester path.
- How is BBA delivered?
It is run in a blended mode. Blended mode refers to a combination of online study and face-to-face tutorials. Face-to-face tutorials are offered at most learning centres. This flexibility of modes is a specialty of OUM, the first open and distance learning university in Malaysia. It is particularly suitable for self-directed adult learners who want to upgrade their skills and qualifications on a part-time basis without having to give up work and other life commitments.
- When can I join BBA?
BBA has intakes in the January, May and September semesters every year.
