Programme Synopsis

The objectives of this programme is to produce learners with IT skills which enable them to become programmers, analyst programmers, IT administrators or IT executives. Learners are required to accumulate 90 credit hours of prescribed courses in order to graduate.

Normal Entry

Passed SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with 3 credits including Mathematics; OR
Passed UEC with at least grade B in 3 subjects including Mathematics; OR
Passed O-Level with at least grade C in 3 subjects including Mathematics ; OR
Passed SKM Level 3 in relevant field and passed SPM/SPMV/MCE with credit in Mathematics; OR
Passed Kolej Komuniti Certificate (level 3, MQF) in relevant field and passed SPM/SPMV/MCE with credit in Mathematics; OR
Passed Certificate (Level 3, MQF) and passed SPM/SPMV/MCE with credit in Mathematics; OR
Passed STPM or equivalent with at least grade C (GPA 2.00) in 1 subject; AND passed SPM/SPMV/MCE with credit in Mathematics; OR
Passed STAM (maqbul) AND passed SPM/SPMV/MCE with credit in Mathematics; OR
Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

APEL Entry (Only for Malaysians)

The candidate should be more than 20 years of age in the year of application AND
Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND
Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test & Portfolio) conducted by OUM

Note:
  1. The provisional offer of admission will be revoked if, the candidate:
    1. Fails to submit evidence of qualification within the stipulated date;
    2. Does not meet the entry requirements of the University.
  2. Entry requirements are subject to change as prescribed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Discount for the Physically Challenged Learners (OKU) and Senior Citizens

The University offers 50% discount for:

  • Senior citizens aged 60 and above on registration date; and
  • Physically challenged learners – a valid Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) is required.

These discounts are for subject fees only and are not applicable for research and other fees. The discounts are also not valid for second time registration and repeating of subjects.

Learners who receive this discount are not entitled to other discounts and promotions.
