With 3 decades of experience in education and management, Prof Izanee has served at several public and private higher education institutions before joining OUM in 2006.

An adult education and educational leadership expert, he began his career at OUM as the Director of a Learning Centre in November 2006. In 2014, he became the Head of the Assessment and Examination Division.

Due to his expertise in education management and vast experience in teaching and administration, Prof Izanee was appointed the Registrar in 2016. A promotion to the post of General Manager (Business Development and Support Services) followed in 2019.

He became responsible for six major portfolios – business development, property development and maintenance, security, information technology, learning centres, and quality assurance. He gave particular focus to developing business opportunities and identifying potential new partners, particularly beyond Malaysia.

He also contributed his knowledge and expertise in developing the Malaysia Education Blueprint: 2015-2025 (Higher Education) in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education.

Prof Izanee holds a Doctor of Education from Universiti Selangor in 2012.
