Professor Dr. Yon Rosli Daud embarked on his professional journey in 1988 within the banking and finance sector, culminating in a role as Branch Manager at MBF Finance Bhd – Arab Malaysian Bank Bhd. Transitioning to entrepreneurship, he delved into the frozen food industry between 2002 and 2004. His diverse expertise extends beyond banking and food, encompassing property development, accounting and auditing services.

In 2006, he commenced his academic involvement as a part-time lecturer at the University of Malaya, later assuming the role of Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology. Joining Open University Malaysia in 2008 marked a pivotal moment, where he initially served as the Director of the Regional Centre for KL and Selangor. Over the years, he took on various leadership roles within the university, including Director of Group Marketing, CEO of International Open College, and Director of the Institute of Professional Development, OUM. His journey culminated in his appointment to the Executive Management Committee in 2022, and he presently serves as the Vice President/Deputy Vice Chancellor for Business Development.
