Professor Emerita Dr Nor Faridah Abdul Manaf

Adjunct Professor (English Studies)

Professor Emerita Dr Nor Faridah is newly appointed as OUM Adjunct Professor (2025-2027). She was former Deputy Rector of Internationalisation and Global Network at International Islamic University Malaysia and was a Professor of English and taught for over 33 years at IIUM. Her research interests are broad and encompass various fields of study. She has publications in the areas of English literature, postcolonial literature, Malaysian/Spore literature in English, prison literature, women’s writing, Malay literature and creative writings among others.

She is also active in community works in the areas of underprivileged women and children’s welfare, environment, history and culture.

Professor Emerita Dr Nor Faridah is a published bilingual creative writer. Her genres include poetry, fiction (short story and novel) and non-fiction (critical essays).
