Tutor Fellowship Getaway 2025

The Tutor Fellowship Getaway 2025 (TFG2025), organised by the Centre for Teaching and Learning Management (CTLM), was held on 1–2 August 2025 at Paya Bunga Hotel, Kuala Terengganu. This annual event brought together 100 passionate and dedicated tutors from across the country for a weekend of engagement, reflection, and fellowship. With the theme Dynamic ODDE: Vibrant, Visionary, Future-Ready, the programme aimed to empower tutors to embrace the future of open and distance digital education. One of the most anticipated highlights of the event was the presence of YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal, Vice President / Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & Research), who officiated the opening ceremony and later engaged in a dialogue session with tutors. This session also featured all four Deans of OUM’s faculties:

• AP Dr Aliza Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Education (FoE)
• AP Dr Zahir Osman, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM)
• AP Dr Raziana Che Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences (FTAS)
• AP Dr. Hamidah Mat, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH)

Their presence and insights made the session especially meaningful and inspiring for participants. The first day was filled with interactive activities including Build or Bust! and Vision 2050: The Future-Ready ODDE Tutor, encouraging tutors to collaborate and explore their evolving roles in education. The evening concluded with a lively Batik-themed dinner, celebrating creativity and unity. The second day began with a light-hearted activity (This Way or That Way?) followed by the exciting Edu-Treasure Hunt. Tutors then gathered to present their group vision boards focused on the future of ODDE. The event concluded with a formal closing ceremony. CTLM extends its heartfelt appreciation to En. Hanafi Mamat, Director of the Terengganu Learning Centre, and his team for their invaluable support in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of the event. TFG2025 was a resounding success, providing tutors with new perspectives, strengthened connections, and renewed motivation in their role as educators. We look forward to future gatherings filled with the same spirit and energy.
