    Bachelor of Liberal Studies covers a wide range of humanities and social sciences disciplines that consists of communication, psychology, political science, management, education and general sciences.

    In addition, the programme also helps the graduates to obtain valuable knowledge in analysing and apply in solving societal issues in the society. It is OUM’s aim to equip graduates with high quality degrees so that they will succeed in their careers. The intention is to provide students with comprehensive and wholesome knowledge to be applied in their careers either in the public or the private sectors.

    Discount for the Physically Challenged Learners (OKU) and Senior Citizens

    The University offers 50% discount for:
    1. Senior citizens aged 60 and above on registration date; and
    2. Physically challenged learners – a valid Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) is required.
    The discounts are not valid for second time registration and repeating of subjects.
    Learners who receive this discount are not entitled to other discounts and promotions.

    Normal Entry

    1. Pass in STPM or equivalent with a minimum Gred C (NGMP 2.0) in any two (2) subjects; or
    2. Pass in STAM (Level Jayyid);or
    3. Pass UEC with a minimum Gred B in 5 subjects;or
    4. Pass Matriculation/Foundation from any UA/Private HEP/Institution that is allowed to offer foundation program with a CGPA of 2.00;or
    5. Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4) with a minimum CGPA 2.00; or
    6. Other recognised equivalent qualification.


    APEL entry
    • Malaysian; and
    • The candidate should be more than 21 years of age in the year of application; and
    • Relevant work experience/prior experiential learning; and
    • Pass APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test & Portfolio) conducted by OUM.



    1. The provisional offer of admission will be revoked if the candidate:
      1. Fails to submit evidence of qualification within the stipulated date; or
      2. Does not meet the entry requirements of the University.
    2. Entry requirements are subject to change as stipulated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.
